Last Days Alberta - Calgary

Monday morning, Linda and I caught up with Vitterra agronomist Rigga's and went for breaky and chatted in general about all aspects of agriculture in the region. Rigga's has developed many excel tools to help farmer decision making which was interesting to hear about! Monday arvo was a catch up on emails, washing etc and Shea even fitted in a golf lesson!! We caught up with Ryan Bonnett and Mike Kiwi again for dinner at this fantastic brazillion steakhouse - Shea was in heaven in a meat bar!!

Tuesday we headed to Three Hills to see agronomist and Nuffield scholar Steve Laroque. What a fantastic mind he has!! Steve advisors many farmers in the region as well as producing a weekly agronomy newsletter. His sepcial interest is CTF, so Shea had the questions firing! It was a great drive around and we saw some really good wheat and some average canola crops.
We have now crossed the border to Seskatchewan, and heading to saskatoon tommorow to see Nuffield Scholar Ian McPhaddin.
