Heading South to Regina

Friday morning we quickly caught up with Barb, the Canadian Nuffield president. We then said goodbye to Ian and Pen and headed to the Cargill canola crushing plant. It is one of the biggest canola crushing plants in the world, and it was really great to have a look at what happens to all our canola!!

We then continued on to Regina. There were loads of Potash mines on the drive (one showed above), They have a huge reource of Potash around Saskatoon. We finally found a hotel to book into in Regina - after quite a few stops that were booked out, we ended up in the city in a deluxe super room. Was a lot better that the super 8 on the highway that we tried to start with :) and especially good as was Shea last night of holidays so we headed out to the Casino to waste some money and have some fun!!
