Today we headed to Lacombe Agricultural Research station for a Canola Field day. I was put in touch with the scientists Neil Harker and Bob Blackshaw by Steve Powles at AHRI. Neil invited us along to this field day, and it was a fantastic day to talk to some farmers and researchers about Canadian Agriculture! Topics covered included Canola rotations, Canola emergence, Integrated Weed Management for Wild Oats, seeding systems and herbicide applications on GM canola!
We were made very welcome and it was great to chat with them all!
Tonight we are meeting up with Linda Eldridge, nuffa from SA, touring with agronomists tommorow!
